MEET MARISELLE

Mariselle was born in a beautiful town on the Chilean coast. Her first memory of singing is of when she was six years-old, entertaining the family during big reunions. At the age of twelve she started to write songs with some knowledge of the guitar, and two years later she recorded four songs at a well-known radio station in the capital Santiago.

But it wasn’t until she was 18 that she realised that something was missing – something that popular singing couldn’t give her. That’s when she started dreamed big.

At the age of nineteen she started to train her mezzosoprano voice, and by the time she was 23 years-old she had already won her first international singing competition. A year later, at the age of 24, Mariselle would have her debut as an opera singer.

‘Every role I’ve ever sung has taught me something new about myself.’

In 2001, Mariselle steered her operatic career almost exclusively towards the coloratura repertoire, performing in some of the most renowned Opera houses in Europe.

Since 2012, Mariselle has been sharing with a new generation of singers not only the vocal technique she developed for her most difficult roles, but also the lessons that every singer should know as they enter this difficult but wonderful career.
